The Maine Interview – Warped Tour 2016

John O’Callaghan (Vocals) and Garrett Nickelsen (Bass) from The Maine (8123 Records) stopped to talk with Enoch Magazine on the 2016 Vans Warped 2016.

John and Garret talk about their goals and expectations for being back on Warped Tour, their experiences with the homeless, the poverty they’ve seen in 3rd world countries and how they connect and remain connected with fans in an age that’s overwhelmed with social media.

The Maine is excited to be back on the Vans Warped Tour 2016 as its as they haven’t played it since the Vans Warped 2014. The Maine will be on all Dates of the 2016 Vans Warped Tour and playing on the Journey’s Right Stage. The Maine (Fearless Records) will also be signing and having photos ops everyday at their Merch Booth.

The Maine hails from Tempe, AZ and was started in 2007 when the band members were still in High School. Shortly after they started they signed with Fearless Records after the president of Fearless Records had taken note of their first show on Southern California.

In 2015 The Maine (8123 Records) went on a 13 date Tour called The Free For ALL Tour. This was a chance for them to give back to all the fans for supporting The Maine (8123 Records) for so many years. There was no cost to the fans and The Maine (8123 Records) only asked that they help donate to cover the costs of touring.

Singer John O’Callaghan had this to say about why they wanted they came up with this unique tour idea

The Maine (8123 Records) have continued to tour constantly, record new music, and continually connect with as many of their fans as they can. They’re in it for the long haul and don’t plan on quitting anytime soon.
