The Kingdom Center is quite possibly the coolest thing we’ve seen “the church” do. They pick up the homeless each day, bring them to the church and offer them food, clothing, showers, counseling, etc. Then, if that wasn’t enough, they bought an beat up motel next to the ocean and convinced 18 churches in the Ventura community to join together and sponsor individual rooms as transitional family housing.
This video was recently submitted to someone by someone to ABC for a contest and it won The Kingdom Center $7,000 so they could help finish the back part.

In the video, Pastor Sam Gallucci explains exactly how he got this vision from God to help the homeless of Ventura, Ca. Sam also candidly introduces a homeless couple to the church’s homeless resources. Sam Gallucci is pastor of the Harbor Light Church in Ventura. They are one of the smallest churches in the city. Yet through their daily commitment of inviting the homeless into their church and meet their physical, emotional and legal needs, Sam saw a bigger vision. That vision, The Kingdom Center, was birthed from a dream. Now residents of Ventura can see all the churches in their city, joining together to serve one God and to help end homelessness.
