Pastor chains up church to keep members out

Enoch Magazine caught up Baptist assocation rep Port Wilburn in the San Francisco Bay Area. A “rogue” pastor in San Francisco / Daly City has locked up the church. This is due to a battle over the property. Port Wilburn, of the San Francisco Peninsula Baptist Association, is called in to help save the church from being legally taken over and sold. He believes the pastor had always planned to take over the church in his name and sell it for personal gain. Both the church members and the association were deceived, but the Baptist Association quickly moved to correct the problem.

Port Wilburn explains why churches should belong to an association. He shows the locks that the pastor has put on all the doors, while the church’s ownership is tied up in a legal battle. But the Bacptist assoc. is willing to fight and pay for that battle.
